How does it work?
But how does it work exactly? iDIN is similar to the way you use internet banking, for identifying, logging in and confirming your age:
- Identify
• For example, you want to identify yourself to make an insurance contract online
• You choose iDIN as identification method
• You select the bank where you organize your banking business online
• You will be directed to the iDIN page of your bank
• You log in with the login of your bank
• The personal data that the insurer wishes to receive from you has already been filled in
• You click on agree
• You will be redirected to the insurer’s website and identified
- Login
• For example, you want to log in to your ‘my environment’ at your insurance company’s website
• You choose iDIN as login method
• You select the bank where you organize your banking business online
• You will be directed to the iDIN page of your bank
• You log in with the login of your bank
• You see that you are going to log in at your insurance company
• You click on agree
• You will be redirected to the insurer’s website and logged in
- Confirm age
• For example, you want to confirm your age to use a particular service
• You choose iDIN as an identification method
• You select the bank where you organize your banking business online
• You will be taken to the iDIN page of your bank
• You log in with the login of your bank
