itsme is now available in the Netherlands as a secure and user-friendly way to verify your identity online. The app, already used by more than 8 million people in Belgium, will gradually replace iDIN over the coming year. With itsme, users can identify themselves with participating organizations within seconds, without having to create new accounts or share identity documents each time.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the acquisition of iDIN, millions of Dutch citizens can immediately use itsme to identify themselves with hundreds of organizations, including a.s.r., PostNL, BKR, and PSV. More Dutch companies are expected to join the platform in the near future.<\/p>\n
itsme provides a single, familiar, and easy-to-use solution for digital identification and complies with the strictest European security standards (eIDAS High). Users always remain in control of which personal data they share and with which organization.<\/p>\n
In Belgium, itsme has become the standard for digital identification. More than 80% of the adult population uses the app to verify their identity online with both businesses and government services. Over one million identifications are carried out every day. As a result, itsme holds a position in Belgium comparable to that of DigiD in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
itsme is available free of charge through the App Store and Google Play Store. Registration is simple and can be completed using a passport or identity card.<\/p>\n
